About this work
One of Banksy's most recognizable prints, 'Monkey Queen' features a chimpanzee wearing a crown. The work critiques monarchy, authority, and questions the nature of power and hierarchy. The primate imagery suggests that power structures are arbitrary and that anyone (or anything) could be elevated to positions of authority.
